Charterers and Traders P&I

We protect charterers and traders for the liability exposure they incur in the normal course of chartering ships. This includes cover for liability for damage to hull and cargo, third-parties and pollution. Our Members include trading houses, commodity producers, shipping pools and ship operators who will time, voyage, slot and space charterer, or act as cargo owner.

Freight, Demurrage & Defence cover (FD&D) is provided through our sister Club, the UK Defence Club. 

The Club has a dedicated Charterers team with industry experience to provide the highest level of understanding to support Charterers' risks including contract review. 

We take a personalised and tenacious approach to resolving claims, working collaboratively on our Members' behalf with all parties involved to ensure the best possible support and outcome.
