Human-element management courses

The Club has partnered with CAE, the world’s largest civil aviation training company, to give Members free access to top-quality human-element management courses.

The three-day Maritime Crew Resource Management courses are for senior crew training officers, health and safety mangers, and designated persons ashore. Compliant with STCW, they cover managing the human element, exploring leadership styles, decision making, problem solving, delegation and error management in everyday situations.

We have also published a book with CAE called Maritime Team Dynamics’, featuring 12 aviation incidents that cross-refer to the maritime sector, highlighting important and transferable ‘lessons from the flight deck’ and jointly run a webinar on Can you train for a Black Swan Event.
