The export of soya beans from Brazil to China has shown significant growth in recent years. This trade growth comes with greater risks during transportation, especially related to cargo damage and associated claims. These claims typically occur annually, coinciding with the soya bean harvest cycle.

Brown Marmorated Stink Bug 

September to April

The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) season is now underway, running from September through April. These invasive pests pose a serious biosecurity risk to agriculture in Australia and New Zealand, often hitching a ride in cargo like vehicles and containers. To avoid delays, rerouting, or refusal of discharge, strict compliance with BMSB regulations—including treatment and inspection—is essential.

Enclosed Space Fatalities

2000年～2004年の間に、1,010人以上の乗組員および陸上の作業員が閉鎖空間で命を落としています。その多くは、本来なら十分に防ぐことができた事故です。

これらの事故は、時間的なプレッシャー、不十分な訓練、コミュニケーション不足、予測が難しい貨物の特性などが要因となって発生しています。解決の鍵は、意識の向上と安全文化の浸透、そして乗組員が閉鎖空間の危険性を正しく理解し、必要な知識・装備・自信を持って対応できる体制を整えることです。
