The UK P&I Club, one of the leading providers of P&I insurance and other services to the international shipping community, has created a new role of Regional Claims Director in each of its main service hubs, enhancing global claim capability for Members.
Eleni joined Thomas Miller in 2013. She is a Greek qualiﬁed lawyer and has an LLM in Maritime Law. Before joining London Syndicate 3 as a trainee Claims Executive, Eleni gained work experience in a Greek law ofﬁce specialising in maritime law. In her previous role in Syndicate H1, she handled people related claims. She has recently moved to London and is currently a claims handler for Syndicate J1. Eleni speaks Greek and Spanish.
George joined Thomas Miller as a claims handler in 2015 having previously obtained a First Class Honours LLB as an undergraduate in London. He handles an increasingly diverse range of P&I and some FD&D matters for the Greek, Italian and UK based Members
Before joining Thomas Miller Genevieve worked as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy for four years where she served on cruise ships up to the rank of Second Officer. She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Merchant Ship Operations and a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law. Genevieve specialises in people related claims in EMEA1 for a wide selection of the Club's Members. She also has particular expertise in handling all types of claims for the Club's cruise ship Members, including passenger ship casualties and cruise curtailments.
Luke Lane is a Senior Claims Director working from the London office in Syndicate EMEA1.
As the Regional Claims Director for the EMEA 2 syndicate, Tom has oversight of the P&I claims activity for the region.
Claire first joined the UK Club Claims department in February in 2011 and subsequently moved to P&I Underwriting in September 2011. Claire originally worked in the European and Americas team before transferring to the Asia Pacific team in 2014. Claire holds the CII Diploma in Insurance and is currently working towards her ACII.
The new Environment Examination Regulation number 31509 dated 12 June 2021 was published and contained inspection information, and does not contain any increase on fine amount, thus the Pollution tariff 2021 is still valid.
