Members are alerted to a recent incident in Maputo, Mozambique where a cargo of coal was loaded to the vessel at a temperature in excess of 55 degrees.
A Member has been presented with a fraudulent invoice for vessel traffic services supposedly provided to a vessel in the Suez Canal area.

Through their news service, GAC report as follows that stowaways are not allowed to be landed at Jebel Ali.
Members are reminded that the amendment to the MARPOL Convention, designating the waters off Southern South Africa as a Special Area, come into force later this year
Dubai Judgement No. 212 Dtd 28 December 1997: A carrier is liable for goods shipped in a sealed container. The Dubai Court has the jurisdiction to hear a claim where part of the contract is executed in Dubai despite the fact that the goods are shipped to Sharjah.
