Supreme Court considers the POEA-SEC and rules that a seafarer's heirs are entitled to death benefits for work related illness even after term of employment.
Following the implementation of Martial Law in Mindanao (southern Philippines) on 24th May 2017, the Senate and the House of Representatives met jointly at the end of July and voted to extend martial law in Mindanao until 31st December 2017.
