Targeting People Claims seminar- 19th September
On Wednesday 19th September, the UK P&I Club hosted a seminar for Members, brokers and club correspondents at the Altes Madchen micro-brewery in Hamburg. This was the third in a series of seminars focusing on crew and people related claims and loss prevention. Previous seminars were held in London and Greece in January and May this year.
Four short talks were delivered by our industry experts on a range of topics. Tony Nicholson discussed the challenging issue of Philippine crew claims and garnishment. Stuart Edmonston spoke about the risks associated with entry into enclosed spaces. John Turner discussed good practice in shipboard investigations and getting the balance right between business and legal needs. The final talk by Neil Beckwith was on crew mental health.
