China ECA'S update
China MSA have strengthened enforcement of the low sulphur fuel regulation (with sulphur contents no more than 0.5%) at all 11 core ports since 1 January 2017. It is said that MSA Tianjin has recently imposed penalty against a ship in violation. Members need to be vigilant in compliance of the regulation to avoid penalty and ship delay.

On 29 March, China MSA issued their updated Guidance on the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Onboard. This is an update on Version 1.0 issued on 17 March. China MSA has issued a Notice on the implementation of a Ship Routing System and a Ship Reporting System in the Minjiang River Estuary of Fuzhou Port for the purpose of enhancing traffic efficiency and ensuring safety of navigation in the Fuzhou water area.
