Stuart, a Master Mariner, joined Thomas Miller’s Loss Prevention department in 2014. Prior to this he worked as casualty investigator for a leading shipping law firm and was at sea on a variety of different ship types including crude oil tankers, freight ferries, passenger ships and offshore drilling units, where he sailed as Barge Master.
Petar Modev joined Thomas Miller as Loss Prevention Executive in 2014. He currently coordinates the Condition Survey scheme for the UK P&I Club and provides technical and loss prevention advice to Members. He is an ex-mariner and had previously worked at sea, up to the rank of Chief Officer, for more than eight years. His main areas of expertise are tanker and offshore operations.
Anuj Joined Thomas Miller in 2012 . A master mariner with extensive sailing and command experience on oil tankers and other vessels, Anuj has also worked as a superintendent in a technical management company. He is handling the loss prevention and risk management aspects of the local members and provides technical support to the Singapore team.
Katie joined UK P&I Club in December 2016 as a Team Secretary/PA, having previously worked as a Business Development PA for an engineering firm. Katie's previous experience includes event management across top London venues.
Wai Pong Lee is a qualified Master Mariner, a retired Commanding Officer (Reservist) from the Republic of Singapore Navy, and accredited Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Most recently, Wai Pong was the Executive Director of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA). During his seafaring career, Mr Lee sailed on a wide range of ships. Prior to joining SCMA, he worked for a prominent international ship-owner based in Singapore and headed up the commercial management of its handy sized fleet of dry bulk carriers.
George Radu joined TMA in 2007 after spending 19 years at a major container shipping line including 10 years as Claims Manager. He handles all types of P&I Claims.
Sean joined Thomas Miller in 2017 from an international marine consultancy. He has worked in shipyards and marine consultancies which were based in Singapore, Malaysia and the UK. He has a background of offshore & shipyard operations, salvage & wreck removal operations and marine warranty surveys.
Sean graduated from University of Strathclyde in Naval Architecture and registered as a Chartered Engineer. He was an accredited OCIMF OVID surveyor before joining Thomas Miller.
Sean speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and some Hokkien.
Chris joined Thomas Miller in March 2001, after a long seagoing career in all types of tankers.
Joined Shell Tankers in 1969 as cadet and sailed with them until 1977 rising to Second Officer, then joined Silver Line (V.Ships UK) and sailed in Chemical Tankers and LPG vessels.
From 1983 until December 2000 he served as master for V Ships in LPG, Chemical and Product carriers, including 1 special OBO.
Chris is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and a qualified Lead Auditor for ISM.
Jason started working with the UK P&I Club in November 2012, providing Risk Assessment and Condition Survey services to the Club’s Members in the US. Jason is a Chief Engineer with years of experience in the Marine Industry.
Tony joined Thomas Miller as a Ship Inspector. After passing a degree in Marine Engineering and becoming Chief Engineer, he came ashore as Superintendent and then Marine Surveyor / Consultant.
Markus Westphal joined Thomas Miller in 2014 as a Risk Assessor. He previously worked on general cargo vessels, bulk carriers and container vessels, rising to the rank of Master in 2000. As a junior officer, Markus served on salvage tugs and was involved in several salvage operations off the South African coast as well as the development of the Mossgas project off Mosselbay.
During his time at Safmarine, Markus was involved with the introduction of the ISM code as well as the ISPS code, his vessels being audited externally and internally.
Ansuman, a Class 1 Motor Marine Engineer, joined UK Club's Loss Prevention department in 2018. Ansuman has sailed on Tankers, Bulk Carriers, Containers and Vehicle Carriers up to the rank of Chief Engineer. In 2006 he came ashore, working as Superintendent and Classification Society Principal Surveyor, rising to Lead Auditor for ABS in Singapore. Prior to joining Thomas Miller, Ansuman was Technical Head at a large ship-owning company in UAE.
Sophia joined Thomas Miller in 1992 and from 1994 worked as a claims handler dealing mainly with French and Spanish members. In 2004 Sophia became the Crew Health Programme Director.
As part of her work in the Crew Health Programme, Sophia has undertaken a large number of clinic audits, implemented the standard medical form and clinic guidelines. She has also led the scheme through the largest period of growth and development with a doubling of approved clinic facilities and a four fold member increase. Sophia is a Director of Thomas Miller & Co. Ltd.
Saidul Alom joined PEME from the European Region Service Team in 2004. Saidul provides administrative support to the PEME programme and is responsible for liaison with the approved clinics on financial billing matters and ensuring prompt payment of all clinic fees
Stuart joined Thomas Miller in 1998 as a claims trainee for UK P&I Club’s Greek Members. In April 2005 Stuart joined PEME as the Team Administrator. Stuart is responsible for co-ordination of Member entries and administration for the clinic approval process.
Mike Carroll joined Signum Services after retiring from the Metropolitan Police in November 2006. He was a career detective for 30 years, serving in various departments at New Scotland Yard. He specialised in serious and organised crime, including the investigation of armed robberies.
David Thompson joined Signum Services in January 2013 following his retirement from the Metropolitan Police. In his 30 year career as a detective David specialised in the investigation of serious and complex crimes and served at various locations throughout London and at New Scotland Yard.
