Bodily Injury News latest (Editorial: 5th May 2011)
The Bodily Injury News produced by our colleagues in New Jersey and San Francisco is published this week reviewing a number of recent developments and issues related to claims for bodily injury, illness and death among passengers and crews.
It also announces the arrangements for the forthcoming Thomas Miller Americas Bodily Injury Team Round Table scheduled for September 15th and 16th this year. Our New Jersey office will be playing host to our Members' executives, both here in the United States and abroad, who have a special focus on bodily injury issues.
These Round Table events have attracted increasing numbers of attendees from non-US Members providing an even more varied and rewarding cross-section of maritime and legal expertise. We look forward to seeing you as part of the event.
Features included in this latest edition of the newsletter range from updates on punitive damages case around the United States to changes to federal rules on discovery. In addition, procedures on dealing with stowaways and managing legal work on bodily injury cases are reviewed.
Finally a guide to previous articles on a variety of related topics can be found in this edition of the TMA Bodily Injury News.
The newsletter is published in our Publications section, both as a conventional pdf and also in a page turning viewer within the Reading Room on this website.
We welcome your comments and suggestions on the newsletter and the articles within it. If you have any queries regarding specific items please don't hesitate to call the relevant author, or the editor Louise Livingston (louise.livingston@thomasmiller.com).
