オーストラリア：船舶排ガス浄化システム(EGCS) の使用についてのガイダンス

オーストラリア海洋安全局(AMSA)は、船主、オペレーターおよび船長に対し、船舶排ガス浄化システム(EGCS)の使用、操作、および不具合発生時に取るべき手順についてガイダンスを発表しました。詳細はMarine Notice 12/2022をご参照ください。

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) recently issued a Marine Notice to provide guidance to vessel owners, operators and masters of requirements for the use, the operation of, and steps to be taken in the event of malfunction to, Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS) in Australian waters.

Members are asked to note that prior to being discharged into Australian waters, EGCS wash water must comply with discharge water quality criteria as set out in the IMO's 2021 EGCS Guidelines. While there are no prohibitions on the discharge of wash water from EGCS in Australian waters, some Australian port authorities may encourage vessels to avoid discharging wash water within port limits.
